Additional warming shelters will open in the Portland area Wednesday night with temperatures forecasted to drop near 22 degrees and a windchill expected to make it feel even colder. Multnomah County will be providing an additional 500 shelters beds which people can access at warming centers starting at 8 p.m. on Wednesday. People can access free transportation to the sites by calling 211. People can also ride TriMet for free if they are travelling to a warming center.
