It’s kind of surreal, but it actually happened. South Korean President Lee Jae Myung and Japan’s Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi wore matching blue tracksuit jackets and jammed together on the drums to the explosive K-Pop Demon Hunters hit Golden. If you didn’t already know, Sanae Takaichi is a huge metal head and has a passion for playing the drums - even playing in her own heavy metal band prior to her career in politics. The incredible video of the drumming session, which President Lee has confessed felt ‘a little clumsy’, has gone viral as the two historically conflicting countries work towards mending their relationship. President Lee gifted the Prime Minister a drum set and the two world leaders swapped signed drumsticks after their performance. ‘When we met at APEC last year, [he] said it was his dream to play the drums, so we prepared a surprise,’ Takaichi tweeted on X. 📸 Credit: Instagram/Kantai #japan #sanaetakaichi
