Congratulations to English and secondary education student Isabelle Nelson '23 for the publication of her first novel - Annie Abbott and the Druid Stones! Co-authored with her father Michael, Nelson said her passion for creative writing grew at St. Ambrose thanks to the support and encouragement from her professors. "They’re all so encouraging, helpful and have become people I truly trust, respect, and whose opinions I value," she said. Nelson also said studying young adult literature in her secondary education courses helped her hone her own writing style. After graduating, Nelson plans to teach middle or high school English and enroll in a master's program with a focus on educational policy and reform. She is also currently in the process of writing the second installment to the Annie Abbott Adventures series. You can purchase a copy of the book on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, or wherever you buy books!
