When I saw Metric on BeWild’s website (four years ago already?!) I knew I had to apply to adopt him. He was a tiny, maybe four-inch-long little grey lizard with a few blue polka dots. He was so shy and would run away to hide under a piece of cork before poking his head out to peer at me cautiously. With a lot of patience, he eventually started taking food from my hands. Now, he wants to eat my hands 😂. Love my little guy and his story! Jeweled lacertas have an incredible amount of personality, are gorgeous, and are a great size.
