Miami Heat center Meyers Leonard has been focusing on something other than just basketball lately. His food company Level has generated more than $250,000 in revenue in less than a year and is seeing an average of 12% monthly sales growth. A few weeks ago they even began working with a third-party company to accommodate their growing distribution and fulfillment needs.
The company, which he unintentionally created with his wife Elle Leonard after changing his diet, currently sells four flavors of protein bars and intends to have three more released before the year ends. They are fully self-funded and have built their brand recognition mainly through word-of-mouth and their social media accounts. They hope to keep growing the brand so that one day they can sell their products through retail stores and on Amazon.
