With the help of the NBPA, the NBA G-League has officially formed a players' union that will be called the Basketball Players Union (BPU).⁣ ⁣ Players with an NBA contract (down on assignment or two-way) will not be apart of the BPU as they are protected by the NBPA. An increase in base pay will be a huge topic moving forward, as the vast majority of G-League players only earn $35k per season.
