Jamal Agnew is taking his frugal mentality to help him get out of debt. After attending University of San Diego for football he had to apply for financial aid due to the fact football scholarships weren't provided. Instead of using his NFL contract to spend on lavish purchases he's using it to build a stable foundation.
In reference to his student loans. Agnew said in a
@CNBC article, “Obviously I’m dreading having to pay these loans back,” the 24-year-old said. “But I think about it. Like, 90% of the people I’m leaving school with are going to have these loans and they are not going to be making nearly as much as I am [right now], so I’m just grateful for the position I’m in, the type of money I’ve made so far in the NFL.” As Athletes we have to realize what fortunate situations we are in. Don't waste the opportunity to build financial stability because you can't be frugal
