I’m slowly checking destinations off my wishlist. When I found out that Mexico City was the closet airport to the Tolantango Hot Springs, I had to go. We took a day trip because the drive is about 4 hours from Mexico City. You can rent a car and drive but I found this on trip advisor. There’s also a hotel on-site because they don’t recommend driving at night but it’s first come, first serve. Our trip was about 14 hours total and at the hot springs, there’s tons of small pools that range in temperature for you to relax in. There’s also caves and a river. We did it all. You can also eat on site. The food was good. The camera does this place no justice but it’s definitely worth it. It’s a site to see and experience. I would say bring a change of clothes because there’s no way to avoid the water especially if you go into any of the caves. This is only half of the adventures of Tolantango.
