I love, love WA State Parks and all they have to offer and I feel like are often overlooked compared to National Parks. From affordable cabin rentals, to budget-friendly campsites, both can be booked up to 9 months ahead of time, (which I have also scored great last minutes sites 1-2 weeks before camping). State Parks in photo order and why they’re great: Photo 1) A rental cabin at Potholes State Park in Othello, WA. This park has been our gateway to go visit Palouse Falls over the years! Photo 2) A rental cabin at Twin Harbors State Park in Westport, WA. We are actually staying here this coming weekend with some friends to go razor clamming.
