Money, Power & Respect is the debut studio album by #TheLOX, released on January 13, 1998, via Bad Boy Records and Arista Records. The project showcased gritty East Coast lyricism and was powered by production from The Hitmen, Dame Grease, and a then-emerging Swizz Beatz. The album was a commercial breakout, debuting at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 and claiming the top spot on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. It spawned two successful singles; Money, Power & Respect and If You Think I’m Jiggy, and has since been certified Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America, solidifying its status as a late-’90s hip-hop classic.
