Its been a month since HVC Mexico! Here's a little bit more about my experience! Use what you have. Going into this trip I was terrified that I wouldn't be able to contribute much, through the language barriers and my lack of confidence with little kids. Maybe it sounds stereotypical, but watching them go about their daily lives and comparing it to mine was so convicting. They use what they have. They don't have real jump ropes and most of their soccer balls are flat, and its not much but they love it, and they're grateful for it. And believe me, they have some soccer skills.
