Kia ora! (That's hello from New Zealand) My name is Emme and am a rising senior studying Physical Sciences, Natural Resources & Environmental Sciences, and Global Food Systems Leadership at #KState. I just recently hopped off my 15-hour flight from Houston, TX 🇺🇸to Auckland, New Zealand🇳🇿 to climb aboard another plane to Queenstown for my six-week education #abroad program through the #Gilman Scholarship Program and USAC. 🛩 I will be traveling through New Zealand for two weeks completing case studies related to agriculture and environment practices and issues. Then, I’ll be settled in Hawke’s Bay for a four-week internship. Fun fact: that super long plane ride was actually my first flight since I was five years old! Also, since it was dark for my entire journey, I never got to see the Pacific Ocean 😢.
