#ThrowbackThursday courtesy of #KState Libraries. "With the ‪#‎KState‬ men's basketball game against KU on the horizon, we look back at 1950—the Wildcats' first year in the "Old Barn." Ahearn Fieldhouse was completed in 1950, and pictured is the first K-State-KU basketball game played in the facility. The Wildcats took the victory 65-51, the second win for K-State that season against Coach Phog Allen's Jayhawks. Over 38 seasons in Ahearn, the 'Cats won 14 conference championships, had 17 NCAA tournament berths, competed in three Final Fours, and was the runner-up in the 1951 National Championship game." #KStateTBT
