The Windsor High School boys’ golf team battled against some of the best schools in the state during its home invitational today at Pelican Lakes. 👊 Windsor’s three-person score of 234 (18-over) placed it sixth out of 20 schools. Cheyenne Mountain won with an even par round of 216. It was Windsor’s final tune up before Wednesday’s Region 3 tournament at Riverdale Knolls in Brighton. Windsor’s varsity team featured sophomore Kellen Ball (3-over, 75 to tie for 13th), senior Carter Hinkle (6-over, 78 to tie for 23rd), senior Landon Ball (9-over, 81 to tie for 32nd), and sophomore Tadese Keyworth (13-over, 85 to tie for 52nd). But it was the junior varsity players who shined today. Four players shot in the 70s. Sophomore Dillon Calkins fired a 73 (1-over) to tie for sixth, senior Burley Kleve a 74 (2-over) to tie for eighth, junior Connor Kosola a 76 (4-over) to tie for 16th, and senior Jack Gustafson a 79 (7-over) to tie for 26th.
