The Windsor High School boys’ golf team finished its first day of the Class 4A state championship held at its home course Pelican Lakes in third place with a three-person score of 223 (7-over), six strokes behind day one leader, and defending state champs, Riverdale Ridge. Windsor sophomore Kellen Ball will play in the final group tomorrow as he fired a 2-under 70 to place in second. He’s one shot behind Denver North’s Sawyer Klein (69). Sophomore Tadese Keyworth is tied for 18th with a 76 (4-over). Senior Carter Hinkle shot a 77 (5-over) to tie for 24th. Senior Landon Ball is tied for 62nd with an 86 (14-over).
