The Windsor High School boys’ golf team met its match today during its home league tournament at Pelican Lakes. Windsor finished second with a four-person score of 319 (35-over), three shots behind Silver Creek. Ben Harding of Silver Creek won the event with a 2-under score of 70. Taking second place was Windsor senior Carter Hinkle with a 77 (5-over). Senior Landon Ball and junior Connor Kosola tied for fourth with 7-over 79s. Junior Ethan Tippets and sophomore Teegan Cole tied for 14th with 12-over 84s. Windsor fielded three junior varsity players in the nine-hole event and senior Jack Gustafson led the way with a 2-over 38. Freshman Camden Smith was 4-over with a 40, and freshman Landon Brown turned in a 46 for 10 over. Windsor returns to the links on Monday to play in the Mead league event at Saddleback Golf Course.
