Sports was always my true love, but there are so many numbers in sports,” he said. Last summer, the senior interned with the popular sports betting company Fanduel, and he really enjoyed it. Spirio believes that sports betting is an increasingly popular field, since it allows fans to get involved in ways they haven’t been able to before. He stated, “Sports betting has become so big, honestly, it’s one of the fastest growing businesses in the entire country, and it’s all rooted in numbers and analytics, so I think that’s the route that I kind of want to go with right now.
