The city has been a cradle for soccer for over a century, waiting since 1882 for a moment like last night’s. It seems like every year we get one of those groundbreaking occasions, but it still doesn’t take away from that exhilarating feeling of knowing we’ll forever be part of history. Whether you watched on TV or were at the stadium, you know you saw something special. The crowd of 22,000 felt like ten times the size, roaring at every tackle, save, and goal.
