I yo yo dieted & ate very low cal for a while before learning about proper nutrition
During my “diets” (quotes bc I was always dieting .. restarting every Monday after a weekend binge)
I always had low energy, soreness, & only went to the bathroom every few days
FYI: You’re supposed to 💩 everyday
My metabolism was off, my body wasn’t getting enough, & my relationship with food & body image sucked
Learning about macros & nutrition changed my life, but it took time for my body to get used to
Months for my body to adjust to the amount of food since it was used to eating very little
Months for my metabolism to get back up to speed & utilize the food for energy instead of storing it
Months of mindset work to get myself out of the skinny = healthy mindset
This is the healing phase
& if you have been stuck in the diet mentality for a while, know that this phase is essential to moving past it
