The ideas are endless for #MainStreetArtChallenge as Downtown Barrie BIA (downtownbarrie) worked with artists and STEPS to elevate an existing mural through documentary filmmaking! Filmmaker Anushay Sheikh (anushaysheikh) collaborated with Anishinaabekwe storyteller Sarain Fox (sarainfox) and artist Alanah Astehsti Otsistohkwa (Morningstar) Jewell (morning.star.designs) to create a short film about Alanah’s mural, The Land Knows You. The captivating mural and documentary encourage you to listen to the life around us and connect with the natural world.
