Happy International Women’s Day! Today we thank all women who play, coach, referee, organise and support volleyball. This year's IWD theme is Gender Equity. Volleyball BC continuously works to ensure strong female representation across BC. Whether you're young or old, new to BC or Canada or new to the sport, we created our brand new Female Mentorship program, partnering young coaches and referees with mentors to learn from and gain valuable experience and knowledge. We've featured a Q&A with some of our female leaders in volleyball and asked them why they got into the sport and some advice they've been given or given themselves.
