Did you know that Miles for Migraine has a strong focus on increasing the number of headache specialists in the US? There are currently only 700 headache specialists and over 40 million people with migraine. Quite simply there is a provider shortage and that means long wait times to see a specialist. Headache fellows are doctors who are doing a year of specialty training, to become certified in the field of headache medicine. The funds raised from our walk/run/relax events are donated to support these fellows. We want you to get to know the fellows we are supporting and see exactly where your donation dollars are going - to the future of headache medicine. Dr. Evans is a headache fellow at Texas Children's Hospital and is currently enrolled in the Miles for Migraine Advocacy training program ACT-Now.
