💚💛 pnw laing - lacinato kale, collards, sweet yellow onions, ginger, lemongrass, coconut milk, vegan bagoong, thai chilies
Laing (pronounced LAH-ing) is a filipino dish that originates from the Bicol Region, where it is known simply as pinangat. It usually consists of shredded or whole taro leaves with meat or seafood cooked in thick coconut milk spiced with chili, lemongrass, garlic, shallots, ginger and shrimp paste (bagoong).
This one’s made just for you in the pacific northwest. dairy free. gluten free. vegan. Gotta have your side of greens and this one, like many of our dishes, is a great combo to mix with that spoonful of steamed rice to make that perfect bite. We’d be laing if we said it wasn’t our secret fave. 😜
