Raevyn Ferguson of
#WashU23, is a St.Louis native majoring in African and African-American studies. She wears many hats, including but not limited to, being a peer mentor for students in the Ervin, Rodriguez and Danforth programs. She is also the president of the Association of Black Students and an actor in Black anthology.
Raevyn recently celebrated her last Black Anthology performance and is entering the 'final act' of her time at WashU. Post-graduation, she plans to continue to pursue her love for the arts and wants to use theatrical arts to uplift, entertain and empower Black communities in St. Louis.
To know her is to know she is vibrant and confident in herself and her Blackness. Raevyn credits her tight-knit family for inspiring her to have such a strong sense of self. Looking ahead, her future is bright; when asked where she'll be in five years, she told us:
