¡¡ Welcome back Nadine & Family & Friends !! ❤️🇨🇦🤍🕊️ It’s been awhile since Nadine has been able to visit and our Dove Community welcomed them all this week with open arms 🤗 & huge smiles 😄. In a true cultural exchange - Nadine brought presentations from home - life & culture. 🥰Fabuloso that local kids/families were involved & wrote cards to our children & created beatiful Dreamcatchers, too! We learned about First Nations’ culture & the protective nature of the dreamcatcher by collecting bad thoughts & dreams, while allowing good to pass through. In return & with much #DoveLove, we all worked & painted Dominican ‘faceless dolls’. Created by local artisans (supporting our community😍), the Muñecas Limé honour the Dominican mixture of African, European & Indigenous identities and reflect the many roles of Dominican women.
