This month we are recognizing Black excellence - those who have paved the way for generations and inspired us all. Today we shine light on Alice Coachman, the first woman to win an Olympic Gold Medal (high jump). Coachmen was named to five all-America teams and inducted to eight Hall of Fames. In 1996, Coachman was named one of the 100 greatest Olympic athletes.
