Farming employs more than 70% of rural Kenyans—but many young people don’t see its full potential. So Angela Njeri Mwangi is blazing a new tech-fueled path to more resilient, climate-smart and competitive agriculture food systems. “I’m the next generation and am a part of this very young country,” she says. “We as young people are the pioneers of the changes we want to live in and want to see for our children and grandkids.” Mwangi developed a keen understanding of the challenges faced by domestic farmers as she helped out with her family’s agribusiness company in Nairobi.
