Deputies recently identified a stolen vehicle driving in Valencia. As they attempted to conduct a traffic stop, the vehicle proceeded to flee. A pursuit was initiated, but eventually cancelled due to unsafe driving conditions. A short period later, deputies were alerted by CHP officers the vehicle had been involved in a single vehicle traffic collision, in which the male driver fled on foot along the freeway. Deputies searched the abandoned stolen vehicle and located narcotics, drug paraphernalia and several documents, checks and more belonging to various victims. The male remained outstanding at the time of the incident, but thanks to our hard working detectives, the male was identified. Deputies from the Crime Impact Team, Special Assignment Team and patrol worked together to locate the suspect at his residence in Canyon Country where he was successfully apprehended.
