"A new challenge I have enjoyed taking on over the past few years is trying to do photography in the tropics. The dark, rainy, challenging settings for shooting in the rainforest often results in very noisy and saturated images with high contrast. Learning to work in this environment and correct some of these tendencies of the camera in this setting have made for some challenging shoots with very high rewards. Patience was needed while waiting at this fruiting plant in the forest of mid-elevation Panama for this Fulvous-vented Euphonia to come feed. The dark and rainy setting made this quite a challenge, but it worked out nicely.
