Last month, more than 100 Eat. Learn. Play. partners and friends joined our co-founders, Stephen and Ayesha Curry, at the Alameda County Community Food Bank to help sort food for families across our community. In just one hour, volunteers sorted 17,762 pounds of food, the equivalent of nearly 15,000 meals. accfb’s volunteer manager called it the most productive one-hour shift they’ve ever had. This day of service builds on eatlearnplay’s pledge to commit 100,000 volunteer hours through Realize the Dream. Founded by officialmlking3 and arndreaking_official, realizethedreammovement is working towards the goal of reaching 100 million volunteer hours by Dr. King’s 100th birthday in 2029.
