Congratulations to Judy Chin (judychinmakeup) on winning the Academy Award for Makeup and Hairstyling in “The Whale”. Judy, along with Adrian Morot and Anne Marie Bradley, transformed actor Brendan Fraser into Charlie, a morbidly obese English teacher. Instead of the traditional clay model process, the makeup team sculpted the body suit digitally using scans of Fraser, and the positives of the body parts were 3D printed in and cured with ultraviolet light.
