Mexican-American producing and songwriting duo the Avila Brothers made history at Super Bowl LVIII in 2024 when they became the first Mexican-Americans to musically produce a Super Bowl halftime show. Iz and Bobby Ross Avila were brought onto the show by Usher, their longtime collaborator, after he was announced as the halftime show headliner, and the event set an all-time viewing record.
“This is a great testament to those in the Inland Empire with dreams and aspirations that may seem unrealistic to others. We are living proof that dreams and belief in yourself can lead to extraordinary achievements,” Iz Avila told Inland Empire Community News in 2024.
