Mathieu van der Poel took an impressive solo victory at Milan San-Remo, 62 years after his grandfather Raymond Poulidor won the same race. The Dutchman launched his decisive move on the Poggio, the last climb of the day, and rode away from a group of favorites that contained two-time Tour de France winner Tadej Pogačar. Italy's Filippo Ganna finished second while Belgium's Wout van Aert rounded out the podium.
