At CRI, we often speak of "burning splendor". The term comes from the great revelation of God on Mt. Sinai. We learn there that God's character is "bent" toward the poor and needy, a descriptive term suggested by the world class theologian N.H. Snaith. It is a striking thought and one that encapsulates our heart as a missions organization. We wish to serve the poor of our time in imitation of the God who has revealed Himself to us.
For a deeper look into God's bent toward the poor, read Burning Splendor, a book written by our founder and president, Dr. Alan Pieratt. Available on Amazon now. Link in bio.
