Check out this message from our Sports Developer, Emma, about her recent trip to Malawi.⠀ "When you arrive in Nsanganiza Village, Malawi, one of the first things you notice is the soccer field. Or should I say football field? It sits on the side of a mountain, which makes out-of-bounds balls full-fledged adventures. Rocks and red dirt fill it, and kids are always on it. Its centrality in the village hints at the obvious: The people of Nsanganiza love sports!⠀ I spent most of my time in Malawi on that soccer field. I played games of pick-up on it. I made friends there. Friends who taught me how to say “pass” and “goal” in Chichewa. But what I loved most about that field was its potential. Not for strong athletes—the kids of Nsanganiza already have phenomenal skills!—but for a sports program that combines discipleship and education. And I am thrilled to help CRI’s partners create one." #fieldnotesfriday
