🌵✨ This weekend, seven women and I will hike deep into the Sonoran Desert.
We will go farther than roads, deeper than footprints. We go in search of the lost but not forgotten.
⛺️ We’ll sleep on the ground.
🌧️ The forecast calls for rain.
💪 The terrain is harsh, but the Buscadoras will not stop—and they will not be stopped.
From five states they come—anthropologists, attorneys, social workers, writers, documentary filmmakers—leaders, seekers, sisters.
Together, we’ve built and refined this mission over years—adapting, evolving, and teaching ourselves to move through this unforgiving landscape with purpose and precision.
🌀 On each of these overnight searches, we often locate 8–10 sites of the Lost.
Every marker, every discovery, is an act of love, defiance, and remembrance.
⚡️ Nobody does the work quite like the Battalion and the Buscadoras.
This is how we honor those the desert and the land stewards tried to erase.
This is how we say: They are not forgotten.
