Women's History Month commemorates women's rich and vast contributions throughout history, the present, and the future. Women continue to push boundaries, shatter glass ceilings and build bridges for others to do the same.
MD graduate Ashley Amukamara is another dynamic woman doing just that and more. She's a Georgia peach and decided to come to WashU because it feels like home. During Revisit Weekend, she loved the people she met and could herself thriving within the community.
She grew up around medicine; many family members are nurses and nurse practitioners. But, Ashley will be the first doctor in her family and she matched into OB/GYN at the University of Pennsylvania.
