A wallet was recently turned into the station by a good samaritan. As deputies inspected the wallet to identify the owner, they discovered the wallet contained two fraudulent ID cards. SCV deputies coordinated with lasdlan Sheriff’s Station to have the male contacted at his residence in Lancaster, and be asked to come pick up his wallet at the SCV Station. When the male arrived however, our deputies were there to greet him with a pair of handcuffs. The male was arrested and booked for forgery of a public seal. The IDs may have been fake, but that doesn’t mean it can’t lead to a real arrest.
