It’s #TechTuesday 🏎️ Let’s talk springs. Springs are an integral part of anything with four wheels. They make it so the car and the tire can accept load (like bumps or curbs) and not upset the chassis itself. That's why when you're driving down the road in your car and hit a bump, the car doesn't jump in the air! The spring accepts that energy and disperses it, lowering the load that goes into the chassis. On race cars, we have the exact same thing, generally with just much stiffer springs. We use them to control pitch and roll as well as how the tire takes the load of the chassis. Spring changes for setup are generally considered pretty big changes, as they can have a large effect on the balance of the car. #INDYNXT #LionfishTechAdvisors #INDYCAR
