#OnThisDay in 1931, Ida B. Wells died in Chicago, Illinois. Wells was instrumental in reporting the violence and lynchings against Black Americans. A founder of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), Wells dedicated her life to the protection and advancement of her people. #WomenYouShouldKnow #WomensHistoryMonth
