Poetry in motion.
Throwback to Joshua Cheptegei’s 5000m world record night at the Monaco Diamond League in August 14th of 2020, where the World & Olympic Champion smashed Kenenisa Bekele’s 16 year old record with an incredible 12:35.36, a true display of greatness.
How fast is 12:35.36 you may ask?
It’s 60.43 seconds per lap.
4:03.07 per mile.
7:33.21 for 3000m + another 2000m.
Almost 3 years later and Cheptegei’s 5000m WR remains untouched.
QOTD -> In the next 5 years, will Cheptegei’s monstrous 12.5 lap world record go down?
