Trans kids deserve to be loved and protected. Last night, Danielle’s Smith government used the notwithstanding clause and rammed through a law targeting trans youth. Ottawa must react. I am calling on the federal government to use their authority to disallow this piece of legislation. Our Constitution has a tool specifically designed for this kind of situation. I will always stand up for human rights. The federal government must do the same.
