This month, we feature Mary Vander Heiden and Kelli Pugh. Mary Vander Heiden, the UCF Knights' Associate Athletic Director for Sports Medicine, has served as UCF Football's Head Football Athletic Trainer since 2007. She became the first woman to win and only the second athletic trainer overall to receive the Dr. Robert Cade Sports Medicine Person of the Year by the Athletic Trainers Association of Florida (ATAF). Kelli Pugh, the Virginia Cavaliers' Associate Athletic Director for Sports Medicine, serves as Virginia Football's primary care provider.
