Meals on Wheels West is currently looking for volunteers to join our Community Connections Phone Reassurance Program. As a Community Connections Phone Reassurance Volunteer, you can help brighten up a neighbor's day by calling them to ensure that they are safe and secure at home. A daily Wellness Check is crucial in alleviating the isolation that our clients face due to their homebound status. Calls are done remotely on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and you will be given a script, guideline, and resource list. All volunteers undergo training as well as a mandatory background check beforehand (background check takes 3-5 days).
