Senior Sunday: meet Sammy!⚡️👩🏻🎓
—
Sammy is a recent graduate with a BS in Psychology. She will be starting medical school in June at FSU where she hopes to specialize in an area with pediatrics and surgery! During her time at UF, Sammy was involved with Footprints, a volunteer group on the pediatric immunocompromised unit at Shands Children’s Hospital. Sammy became the president of Footprints her senior year and applied to make the organization a nonprofit in order to help families with their finances. The status was accepted and was just one of her many goals that she hopes to accomplish in her quest to serving the community. Along with volunteering, she was also a research assistant in the lab of Pharmacodynamics with hopes to replace the effects of opioid addictions.
