As You Were. Our friends from the North are back to their old ways. No drama, no nonsense, just business. A cool 2-0 against Curaçao to get back into the swing of things and an emphatic 4-1 against Honduras last night to punch their ticket to the Nations’ League semis. Larin, David, and Osorio were all in fine form at BMO Field, rising to the occasion on the team’s first game back home after the World Cup. It was glorious scenes all around, from the pitch to the stands. Witnessing it all, just can’t help but feel they’re brewing something special over there — a fine, fine product still aging in the barrel. The tough experience in Qatar was just part of the process, and there’s no question they’ll be trouble the next three years. A Canada-USA Nations’ League Final this summer would be delicious, though, wouldn’t it?
