MEMORIES OF MY FATHER starts this Friday, December 2. The film is based on the true story of prominent doctor and human rights activist Héctor Abad Gómez (Javier Cámara). In the polarized and violent Medellín of the 1970s, Héctor is a father who is concerned about both his own children and children from less favored classes. We watch through the eyes of his only son as Héctor dedicates himself to the greater cause of public health programs for the poor, to the consternation of the city’s authorities.
