The Best Homemade Cranberry Sauce Recipe | Part 6 of My Thanksgiving Series ✨
If you’ve never made homemade cranberry sauce, this is your sign. It’s sweet, tangy, citrusy, and comes together in just about 15 minutes — the perfect Thanksgiving side dish to pair with turkey, ham, or your holiday table.
Ingredients:
• 2 (12 oz) bags fresh cranberries
• 1 cup water
• Zest + juice of 1 large orange
• ¾ cup white sugar
• ½ cup brown sugar
• ½ tsp vanilla bean paste (or extract)
• ½ tsp cinnamon
• ¼ tsp salt
How to Make Homemade Cranberry Sauce:
1. Add all ingredients to a large saucepan and bring to a boil. Once the cranberries start popping, reduce the heat to low. Mash slightly with the back of a spatula. Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring often, until the sauce thickens.
2. Remove from heat and let cool — it will continue to thicken as it cools. Store in a jar in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
This easy cranberry sauce tastes so fresh and bright — you’ll never go back to canned again!
