Last month I was posting in my stories a “dealer only” former LAFD Suburban at the government auction I couldn’t get. Well I wasn’t giving up that easily. This is my new 1995 GMC Suburban 2500 SL. Just like my blue squarebody 1990 Suburban, I’ve been after a GMT400 era Suburban for probably about 15 years. And after also catching other former fire department ‘Burbs in civilian hands over the years and thinking it was really cool, this was a no-brainier. As a 1995 model, it is a unique build after the interior was face lifted, but before OBDII and Vortec engines. This truck is a base SL trim so you get the work truck style grill, manual chrome mirrors, and rubber floors inside. It also has a very Rad era burgundy cloth interior. This truck served the City of Los Angeles from 1995 until 2022 with shop number 16669.
