✨ It's hard to believe that Brenda Mabel Reid is already a month into their #EmergingArtistResidency here at Centre3 ! Brenda lives in Kitchener, ON and commutes into Hamilton to work with a variety of our tools, including a digital embroidery machine, screen printing, the archival scanner, and digital editing software. They also plan on getting into other techniques and equipment we have here soon. Brenda has a background in architecture, with a Masters from the University of Waterloo . Their artistic practice focuses on architectural ethics, the built enviornment and community care. This residency supports them in working on a new body of work centred around incarceration in Southern Ontario in the 1950s through an architectural forensics lens.
